Happiness is a feeling which comes over when you are feeling light and you can do nothing but smile .
The Importance of Daily Habits in achieving Happiness
Our day-to-day habits plays a very crucial role in achieving and maintaining a very important state in our life that is HAPPINESS. Consistent routines help maintain a proper mental and physical health.
Here are some reasons that why daily habits play a crucial role for being happy:-
1. Daily habits help maintain a balance between work , home ,rest reducing stress and providing a feeling of happiness
2. Daily habits enforce a feeling of confidence in a person.
3. Indulging in regular positive activities like meditation helps keep our mind free.
4. Exercises like yoga help keep our mind free from ongoing stress.
5. having good food make our body and mind free from stress
6. habits like reading, learning new skills contribute to sense of growth.
7. setting and achieving goals on daily basis provides motivation to do more good work.
I personally as a commoner and a student is indulged in so much stresses . Following a daily routine has provides a sense of accomplishment to me . For me having a daily routine is important especially in the scenarios like today where life is too busy.
10 Habits to Boost Your Happiness
1. Expressing Gratitude: feeling of thankfulness towards someone is known as gratitude. When someone helps us in any way we should thank them. Expressing gratitude establish a feeling of positivity, respect, and help build strong relations.
2. Exercising Regularly: in today's scenario people don't have time for themselves and their body.
in this case it become important to exercise regularly .. exercising daily help reduce mental and physical stress.
Simple exercise routine to be happy:
1. Squats
2. Lunge
3. Planks
4. Push-ups
5. Biking
a beautiful of someone i read sometime ago.." exercise not only changes your body, it changes your mind, your attitude and mood"
3. Connecting with loved ones: in today's scenario no one has time for each other. relatives are still a second topic ... we are so busy in our daily life that we don't have time for our parents . A decade or two ago people used to spend time and enjoy with their families. And talking to them only reduces half of the stress. Experiencing their methods, knowing their good moments provide so many ways to solve our current problems . Connecting to our loved ones is the best cure and pain releiver in current scenarios.
4. Mindfulness and Meditation: mindfulness help release stress, treat heart diseases, reduces blood pressure all which are symptoms of stressful life.
sitting alone in a peaceful place , closing your eyes and chanting om is one of the best ways to lead a happy stress free life. meditation can be done in any position and anywhere ... but I personally prefer the above which actually helps me when i m really stressed.
5. Pursuing Hobbies: leisure activities like painting, reading, gardening, etc. are some of the hobbies we people enjoy doing when we are free. And doing these type of activities is actually very relaxing. I personally enjoy many of such things to keep myself engaged away from all of the stresses i have in my life.
6. Helping others: we are living in a country where poverty is a harsh truth. We take a step out of our house and we can see a lot of needy people who need our help. not only them sometime our loved ones also need our help as a guider or as advisor or money help. helping people is one of the things we automatically brings a feeling of proud and happiness to our face. and i personally is great beleiver of helping someone in need.
7. Spending time with nature: In present times people rarely spent time with nature which is actually very sad . I have heard from many people and even have read about that plants listen to us and feel us. so spending time with nature is one of the best things we can do to ourselves. but today's harsh truth is we don't have much of green surroundings around us. so I beleive that its our prime responsibility to plant one tree which also make us feel happy.
8. Healthy Eating: these days we have a very poor eating eating habits due to our stressful life. even i m one of them...but i have tried a good eating habit for some days and it actually helped me feel free and refreshed. eating good and what you like is best thing you can do to yourself for feeling good.
9. Reducing screen time: these days people have most negative effects of phones or laptops ... excessive screen leaves a negative effect on our brain..so its better we reduce our screen time and start spending that time with other things like learning new things , spending time with family, etc.
10. Setting and achieving goals: setting goals and being able to achieve it is i think he best habit one can have and we can pass it to our next generation. This indulge a feeling of confidence and proud .
especially in the lives of students like me who are busy in studying for actually more than half of the day. So actually to make study more interesting and effective it is a good thing that every student can try .
